Vegas
In about an hour Mrs. Royal, three friends, and I will be starting our trip to Vegas. We're flying out of Lansing through Allegiant Air. This will be our first time flying out of this airport and with this airline. It's going to require us to drive a little over an hour...well worth it for the direct flight!
Both of our moms (The Grandmas) have flown in to watch Baby Royal while we are away. Besides the added cost of flying them in this was the perfect option. We get to leave our little one with those we trust and the Grandmas get an extra weekend with their first (and only) grandchild.
No huge plans while we are in Vegas. We plan to enjoy the sun and imbibe frequently. It's been over a year since our last true vacation together and this one should be special. I'm hoping to play in at least one event during the Four Queens Poker Classic. There are several $200 NL tournaments and at least one PLO event that would fit our schedule. I'm sure I'll end up playing one of the daily tournaments at The Orleans as well. They're always ~100 people and with two a day it's not hard to find one that works.
There's also a good chance now that we will be purchasing a new house here in town. We've placed and offer, received a counter, and simply need to finalize the contract. A lot can happen between now and closing, but if I were a betting man... Now we just need to get some small things fixed and cleaned up at our place before we list it. My already crazy life is about to get even my chaotic! Hopefully by November we will be past most of the turmoil.
The full report will be posted once we get back. Wish us luck!
