The last two weeks have been a whirlwind with the Vegas trip, my sister’s wedding, work, finishing up my 10,000 hands on Full Tilt and FINALLY selling our old house. The last item being a real big deal as we’ve had the old house on the market for around six months. As is typical in real estate we had several agreements and offers, but a final deal never materialized until last week. We now have a post inspection signed contract and should be closing as soon as next week!
The wedding went well…very little drama. I was somewhat surprised to see that Natty Light was the Raleigh, NC local Beer of choice. Maybe my standards have gotten too high since moving to Michigan. I know I’m letting my idol, Larry Eustachy, down here.

Vegas Pt. One
Our plane touches down just before midnight Thursday night. I quickly check my voice mail hoping for a call from Iggy detailing a final blogger freeze-out before WSOP Event #2. No messages. Well he knows I’m not arriving until midnight and might be calling in a bit.
They only have one tram working and we wait three cycles until finally getting over to the main terminal. The cab line is slammed as well and it takes a good 45 min to reach the front of the line. It’s past 1:00 AM Vegas time (4:00 EST) when we eventually reach The Orleans. Check in is another slight hassle because our first night is free and the other three are on a casino rate deal. I finally get my bags to the room and still no call from the Blog Father. However I’m not surprised since I overheard two separate conversations in the airport alluding to Event #2 being full already. Based on Otis’s warning I expected this to happen. Oh well, no last minute freeze-out victory for Royal.

Hyper crashes in his room and Lisa, AI, and I grab a drink and hit the penny slots for a bit. Hey, we’ve got to get on Vegas time baby! A.I hits up Larry Lobster and I get destroyed by the stupid Wild Beer: Salmon Run. I love the multiple spin bonus rounds, but after this fiasco I swear off the bears for the rest of the trip. We then wander over to the new Stars Wars penny slots and discover that they are fantastic. They end up being our favorite slot of the trip. I love them, hate them, really love them, and eventually swear the bastards off.
A few more drinks and we hit the sack.
Friday is WSOP Event #2 and the arrival of Mrs. Royal!
Just a quick post to let you know we all arrived home without issues. It's going to be a crazy week since we fly out to North Carolina Friday morning for my sister's wedding.
The bloggers + WSOP made this by far my best Vegas trip yet! Look for a full trip report sometime next week after I survive my lil' sister's wedding.
We'll be flying out to Vegas again tomorrow evening. I'd like to post more, but there are just too many things to get done before the trip.
Hopefully Mrs. Royal's parents will get in safe and the travel will be smooth.
